Joy Sylvia Singh. I think every person should plant at least one tree in there life and all new housing estates should be made to plant a tree area on there new estates would go some way to helping. Fortunately for me my house is directly across from a huge park. I agree with Prince Charles that trees play a big part of our heritage. Its spectacular watching the trees change colour with each season. Derek Oliver i agree with what you saying in Hampshire so many beautiful trees woods hederows have been destroyed by knew houseing developments, i to wish prince charles could stop all this disgusting act of our Beautiful countryside, yes we will. All very noble but how long before all these trees are sacrificed to provision of housing for an ever expanding population. This is the real driver of climate change and needs addressing. Amazing! This is something I appreciate about Prince Charles. His environmental advocacy and campaign towards a sustainable country living. I am always in awe of Highgrove gardens! . It’s tru. The world is getting faster and faster. Building new houses. Poor Prince Charles. No one wants his as King of England after he’s waited so long. Sadly all this good work is being negated by housing development, supported by local councils. My local council, Castle Point in Essex, plan to cut down over 300 established trees, mostly oak, plus a great deal of associated shrubs to approve the build. Plant Britain is a good initiative but the issue the UK has, which no one is addressing, is human population growth. It seems pointless and empty words if ancient woodlands can just be torn up for a railway line, like HS2, that is only going to reduce the journey by 20 minutes Car racing there’s a point at 7000 RPM poster
