Wonderful for you to share how to make a beautiful Christmas door wreath. Since it was introduced by Queen Charlotte back in the 18th century. This is a real treat that I wish to try myself. I thought it was Prince Albert who brought it to England. I though is wax Prince Albert as well, in 1848. I worked at Michael’s Christmas store and a lady travelling to the USA from England came in to see if there were any unique Santa’s. She took my address and wrote to me. Angela McEwen. Sheila Cronin. The tree , and greenery were brought into the home to celebrate the pagan Yule tide , the bringing of light into the darkness of mid winter ,then banned , by Christians , who pinched the pagan celebrations and called it Christmas. It was Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria who introduced Christmas trees to the U.K, it was a German tradition to decorate trees. Thank you all, The Royal Family, we love this wreath. We have evergreens of different types on our property, and hope to make a wreath by the end of this week. We are expecting a 2-day snow storm of perhaps 15″ plus. The children are excited, however, our excitement is much more subdued. Merry Christmas and good health to everyone of the Royal Family!.
