We were lucky enough to have a “library” we could walk to as children without crossing any streets. Later when we moved as teenagers eventually the Book mobile started in our county.. I’m 3/4 of the way through his book. Such an inspirational President. My opinion hasn’t changed about this great man since I read his other book before he was President.. I met Mr. Bunch when he led the Chicago Historical society. He started a teacher advisory board in honor of his mom, also a retired teacher like me. He said he did it because he respected teachers and valued their input. He is not just a gentleman and. Joy to listen an inspairing vedio! Love You Mr. Oboma that is why you had opportunity to served American two terms. Hope to meet you one fine day. Wish you more and more success in life. I just finished reading A promised land over the weekend. My brother and I were then briefly discussing the book. My comment to my brother was that I was amazed by your optimism and hope for America.. I love the library since I was a little girl. I read Shakespeare and Greek mythology in 4th grade. In 6th grade mr Seidel one of my fav teachers gave me a thesaurus as a gift cause I love to write and read. Working in bold Brooklyn public library was Listening to A Promised Land now while driving cross country.great book. Explains so much and made even better by you narrating. I had a library card at a very young age. When my sons learned to read, I helped them get their own card. They also belonged to the summer reading clubjust as I did as a child.. Thank you so very much President Obama!! I totally agree with your view of our younger population My daughter and her friends, whom I am with often, are in their early 30’s and I feel they are the way!!. Libraries are awesome. My mother took me to a pubic library. I hadn’t seen so many books before. We were so poor we didn’t have books at home. High school introduced me to books. Thank you! You’re such an inspiration in a world that can be so negative. Especially now. Thank you!. They were important to me as well. It was a safe haven for the home I didn’t want to return to as a child. I spent a lot of my school years finding other places to be.
