There’s never any good reason for abuse but difficult times will point us to a past trauma that needs curing, a current pain that needs to be resolve, or our future life. Others may have mentioned this, if not please know there are supports out there for “kinship care” families – which includes anyone raising the child of a family member whether thru foster care, adoption, guardianship or informal arrangement.
