It took me years to realize what my mom did for me. She got us outta section 8 and food stamps by going to college and earning her bachelors. Kudos to your mom and to you for trying your best. Mental be kind to your mind poster. After college I finally began to realize how fortunate I was growing up! My parents gave up so much for my brother and I. The older I get the more I appreciate them and how they raised us. I had the stupid teenage years to. I know we all go through them and that’s how we learn but I wish I could have enjoyed and appreciated time with my parents more! I think the most painful part of parenting is the fact that our children will never truly understand the pain we have endured because of the unrelenting and unconditional love we have for them and then when they grow to resent us for that love.

I long for the day that my children and I can see eye to eye and truly understand each other. More so for them to be able to understand me. Mental be kind to your mind poster. Of course I’m not going to tell them my struggles or guilt them but I know that one day they will know. The love is so real and pure and euphoric and amazing and you literally will, and some do, live in pure hell to make sure they have everything we didn’t and more. I think I pushed my oldest to her breaking point and she ended up lashing out horribly.
