This is both amazing and disheartening. Amazing that people came together to help a stranger. Disheartening that in this country you have to receive charity to get proper healthcare.. Thank you for sharing her story and helping her so much. It was a privilege to be able to contribute to her health and well-being. Thank you for everything! Especially for continuing to restore our faith in humanity during this terrible year. What a bright light Stephanie has been for 2020. Thank You for the update. Jeni. If it weren’t for COVID, that waiting room would be standing room only. Sending healing vibes to Ms. Tanqueray. It’s the least we could do when she let us into her life and history. Thank you so much for bringing her story to us.. Feels like the least we could do for Stephanie sharing her incredible life with us was share a little with her so it can continue in comfort!. This makes 2020 suck a whole lot less! Glad to hear in some small way I contributed to this for her, and I feel special to be part of this collective effort on her behalf. What a great end to this year and what a great start for her. If this doesn’t melt your heart you have to be made of stone. We hear so many bad stories about social media but this shows you the good it can do. I do hope Stephanie can live pain free and get her strength back to walk soon. Mrs. Hunt listened, cared and acted to protect you. Thankful she was there for you and knew exactly how to handle the signs of suicidal thinking. Thankful to all the Mrs. Hunts, out there. There are more than we could know. So happy you are doing beyond. Parents are oftentimes our first superheros but for many, it can also be their teachers. Everyone is a student at one point in their life. Huge love to all the teachers out there who went into one of the most underappreciated professions to look out. Bless your teacher for reading and actually understanding. I had wrote a piece and my teacher basically “edited” it and said. “Not sure I like this and where do you think it needs to go”..little did she know or understand. So glad you got the support. Mrs Hunt is the teacher I want to be when I grow up. The one who hears when no one is listening, who doesn’t stop asking just because a convenient and dismissive answer is given the one who, even when a student believes that no one would care.
