Troubled water That’s what I do I garden I drink and I know things gardening poster Around 1.2 million tonnes of water contaminated by radioactive substances from the 2011 Fukushima disaster will be dumped in the Pacific ocean, under a plan expected to be approved by the Japanese government within weeks. The water is sitting in around 1000 tanks at the former nuclear power station, but the amount is growing daily as rainfall and groundwater entering the site continue to be contaminated. With 160 tonnes a day on average being added last year, the International Atomic Energy Agency expects existing capacity will be full by mid-2022. That is why the Japanese government is reportedly going to approve a strategy of discharging the water to the ocean, as recommended by advisers. The release would start around 2022 and last over a period of decades. The news sparked immediate complaints from Japanese fishing groups, but there are no easy alternatives, Adam Vaughan reports. Read more. I think that’s a very long timescale they giving themselves, looking at the damage already done, and possible catastrophic disasters that might occur as a result of that.

Does this include the Fukushima contaminated water dumping?. Anyone can “make a commitment to make their country carbon neutral by 2050”. The hard part is doing it. This is how we used to fire ourselves up and make progress, “Are you gonna let Japan beat us to this?” Just saying we used to strive to be first in everything, now it’s just striving to be first in most billionaires per capita. When are you planning on making Virgin Airlines cabon neutral? Do they still plan to dump millions of gallons of radioactive water into the Pacific? You own an airline? Do you think people are stupid? The easiest thing to do in the world is to make predictions or statements of what’s going to happen in 30 years. Because no one will remember anything by then or the person making the statements will be dead. “Without clear roadmap”. Our prime minister too trying hard it’s most difficult job .First rich countries pollute then try to blame it on others..We are experiencing today in America That’s what I do I garden I drink and I know things gardening poster

Does that include radio active waste into the Sea? What about the water that needs to be released from the Fukushima reactor? What’s the plan for that? They are releasing trillion of gallons of radioactive water in the sea just next year. What about the plan to put the dirty water from the broken nuclear plants in the sea? Shame on those experts. We need these in less than 10 years. We do not have 30 years. Won’t do a dam bit of good when. CHINA will still be spewing 75 percent of the emissions in the World!. Ohh yeah and forget about that nuclear problem leaking into the Pacific! Trust those guys for sure. 30 years? way too long. so much more damage in even 5 more years. Are you allowed to talk about China emissions? Or are you a minion stooge like your buddy Figures.. Why wait for 2050 for bring down zero
