My student had alopecia and it was my year with her that she made the bold, beautiful choice to shave her head. It was 2nd grade. The kids all knew she had alopecia, but she always wore headbands or hats to cover her patches. Then one day she came in. Michelle Robertson. Such a beautiful story brought tears my eyes because I can definitely relate, since my son has Alopecia Areata too. I too am that mama( bear). My son is very outgoing and friendly but he too has his days where he says I want his to come back too. My tube fed son was always the one to give the talks to his homeschool co-op classes himself. Lol, he didn’t even want my help, he just jumped in and explained everything himself to his whole class.. Daniela Pizzata. I’m so happy they let you speak to the class. My brother was tortured for wearing hearing aids. Kids thought it was contagious. We begged for the school to explain or let us explain it. They refused. He’s in his 40’s now, refuses to wear the hearing The moutains are calling and I must go poster

Why am I tearing up?!. Edina Bajraktarevic. I have a son with Alopecia Universalis too, and it was hard on him when he was little, and kids would call him names, and adults would think he was sick (he was such a healthy looking kid!) He got through it and he is a beautiful self confident 20 year. Sara Jensen. I am going to be listening and watching in the future for Connolly’s name… he seems the kind of leader we need in this world!!!. You are an awesome mama and your boys are lucky. The mother of a child in my son’s first grade class made a similar presentation (different health issue) and now all of the kids are protective of and advocates for their classmate. They are all so much. I’m crazy in love with this. That is just great! We grandmas have got it going for us. Always listen up when your grammy is pointing out a sign for you, even if from beyond the grave. We love our grandkids so much we’ll always look out for them! . Pennies from heaven! I truly believe our family members are still very much with us. Bless you and thank you for your heartwarming story during this difficult holiday season.. God, this story made me so happy. I had such a crappy day yesterday and woke up today determined to make it a good one. Reading your story helped! Your relationship with your grandma is incredibly sweet. I am glad you were able to study in Italy. Amber Southerland Polk. Amazing story. Death cannot seperate a grandmorher’s love from her precious grandchildren! . I knew your grandmother. I loved her. My mom and I both worked at the drug store across the street and sold her some of those tickets. She was such a sweet woman. She gave me card (and some $) when I left for college, and we wrote each other.
