Leah Campbell All I know is Red is one lucky little dude to have a dad willing to do the work to heal, even when it isn’t easy – even when he doesn’t feel like he deserves to be better – and a stepmom who clearly loves him like her own. You’re breaking the cycle. Kelly MartinAnd just think you wouldn’t have this amazing life without the trauma. Sometimes it seems like we are put through the worst thing imaginable so we are forced on the path meant for us. It rang true for me. Without my trauma I never would have ended up. It’s incredible how many people feel they don’t deserve love after childhood abuse, addiction, DV, emotional abuse and neglect. It takes so much to recover. I’m not there yet. This group Home for Restoring Love was set up for those who had child. In that last picture, he looks like her biological son. So refreshing to see a parent put his child’s well-being before his own wants.. I knew he’d be cute, but he’s sooo handsome. They look so much alike.. Funny how life leads us to exactly what we need! It can’t be a coincidence Red and Lizzie look so much alike. . I sure hope this story continues on the positive note. I can’t take a sad ending, my stomach is already in knots. Lizzie and Red look like they’re a Mom and son too!. Andrea Wever. I know how toxic and difficult it can be loving someone who suffers from guilty parent syndrome (I totally made that name up). It takes a very strong and patient person to stand by while they work their way out of it. And sometimes they just can’t.
