My husband in Puerto Rican and comes from such a family as yours and I adored my mother in law. We became very close thru the many years. At her funeral her best friend told me how Rosa thought I was a wonderful mother. That was one of the very best compliments I’ve ever received. Viking worrying doesn’t take away your troubles poster. Your mom was crying because she was seeing the fruits of her efforts being passed down to the next generation in the best way possible. She loved you, nurtured you and was present in your life and you are doing the same. And now I’m wrecked. Bless you! This is coming from a person that was left behind by her father: You have done such a good job!

Thank you for giving her a safe space. Thank you for showing her what showing up looks like. Thank you for teaching her she is valued, worthy, and loved. So many of us don’t get that. Blessings to you both. Wow, such strong emotions of parenting. Viking worrying doesn’t take away your troubles poster. It is no easy task, but to those who strive to do their best, the feeling is unmatched. You saw it first hand and received the love and care, and now you are giving it with the same intensity, knowing how amazing it is for a person to receive that kind of love and care. It’s a parents dream to have their children grow up and prosper and find happiness and love.
