I would not like being manipulated like she has gotten very comfortable doing to her partner. She sounds like she doesn’t listen at all. I love animals – my first cat died at 24 and the boys died at 19 and 21. Welcome to my woman cave aka 1908 poster. We had snakes, ducks, a hedgehog, one dog, and the hamster, but always one at a time. My experience with animal rescue has been negative – most of them are hoarders who live in reeking homes. There are many outcomes here- but it can be a breeding ground for resentment. I have always been the easygoing, accepting one. There is a limit. You may not know you’ve passed it until it’s too late. Be careful, don’t abuse his generosity on this. You have to put HIM first at some point. Sure, foster, do your thing, but when you feel him burning out, give him a break.

Unless you really do love the animals more, then be honest. I have 13 equines, 4 goats, a mini pig, 3 rats, 2 sulcata tortoises, several birds and 3 dogs (one is his from his previous life). My husband is wonderful, but I would not bring home another animal with him living here now that he didn’t want here. Welcome to my woman cave aka 1908 poster. He’s done enough, we have enough, we’ve done our part many times. Someone else can take the torch. It would be nice if there were more pictures like this of people giving children a family. What about before picture of sad orphans and then happy with their family thriving afterwards?
