My son and I have been discussing this in NZ. We see this immense injustice and feel so overwhelmed by the trauma it must cause. We focus as a family on treating everyone equally, everyone is the same underneath and what we put out in the world. How I’ve cried for someone I only knew because of the injustice. That night I could not sleep because the video kept playing over and over in my head. I cried while praying and told God to please make this stop. I still can not believe I was watching. I agree 100%. Beautiful said! Thank you. Yes, we need to teach children, our future leaders how to love. Our feelings need to voice and spread love, hope, empathy, compassion and justice not hate.. I’m in Australia, this is what I was told yesterday by an indigenous man I respect when I said how powerless it feels to watch these events unfold in the same way as they have been for decades, for centuries. He said, “Raising your kids to see the world You don’t stop running when you get old poster

Just because it’s not happening to you doesn’t mean it’s not happening. A lot of people don’t realize that.. The pigment in your skin does not indicate the worth of your life. The purity of your soul does.. Mr. Floyd was a 6’6” man. He called out for his Mama. His Mama!! That did it for me. As a mother it went straight to my soul. As a white mama, I don’t have to worry about my son encountering this hate. As he has changed from a cute little chub. Every parent should talk to their children about racism & how wrong it is, we need to educate the future generation. My daughter is of mixed race & has had racial remarks from the age of 10. She is now 27 & holds her head high, n proud of her ethnicity. My 9 year old is angry. Because nobody should be hated or killed because they have darker skin than someone else. I have to tell you how brilliant and powerful mere words can be, when said AND heard at the right time. You mentioned how “people should be angry” when you got a test for Covid. And I agree so strongly with you that we need change in our current. I’m currently raising awareness and money for mental health foundation. Everyday I’m doing 25 push ups and sit ups. Challenging myself and videoing it to post on social media, at first it was uncomfortable, but now I’ve got other family and friends do. Emily’s birthday fundraiser for Mental Health Foundation. Sheila Mac. This interview showed up in perfect time. My daughter had asked if it was okay to get more grief counseling earlier on this same day!. P!nk Thank you so much for your position and support on mental health awareness, especially during this time. It has been so hard for me lately with physical issues and motherhood issues. When I am at my breaking point, I listen to your music.
